Fresh Start Cleaning Guide: What to Expect
A fresh start begins with knowing what to expect.
At Clean Sweep HTX, every new residential client begins with a Fresh Start service. This first visit helps bring your home to a clean, comfortable, and maintainable baseline before recurring maintenance begins.
Our Fresh Start Cleaning Guide explains the three service levels, what each includes, and how to prepare your home.

Three Levels, One Goal
Homes have different cleaning needs. A regularly maintained home may need an initial reset, while a home with accumulated dust, grease, or pet hair needs more detailed attention and time.
Fresh Start: The Reset
Fresh Start is our professional first clean for homes that are already regularly maintained.
The checklist includes kitchen and bathroom cleaning, dusting reachable surfaces, light dusting of blinds and accessible baseboards, spot-cleaning doors and light switches, trash removal, and vacuuming and mopping floors.
In the kitchen, we also clean the stovetop surface and microwave interior and exterior, wipe appliance exteriors, and wipe accessible cabinet and drawer fronts.
This level provides standard initial-clean labor time.
Detailed Fresh Start: The Deeper Reset
Detailed Fresh Start adds focused attention to areas that need more than a light reset.
It includes individually dusting blinds, dusting and spot-cleaning accessible baseboards, detail spot-cleaning doors and frames, and degreasing accessible kitchen cabinet fronts.
Other tasks include addressing accessible soap residue and hard-water buildup, vacuuming beneath removable couch and chair cushions, and cleaning floor edges and corners. We also vacuum underneath safely accessible furniture.
This level includes extended detail-cleaning time.
Heavy Fresh Start: The Extra-Time Reset
Heavy Fresh Start includes the same complete checklist as Detailed Fresh Start, with additional labor time for heavier buildup.
That extra time allows our team to make repeated cleaning passes where heavier dust, grease, soap residue, or pet hair requires more attention.
Heavy Fresh Start does not add more tasks. The difference is the time allowed to complete the detailed work.
How to Prepare for Your First Visit
A little preparation helps our team spend more time cleaning the areas that matter to you.
Before your appointment:
Remove excessive clutter from countertops, furniture, and floors.
Place fresh linens on each bed you would like made.
Secure pets and provide any necessary entry instructions.
Identify fragile, damaged, or especially delicate items.
Confirm which rooms are included if you selected a Partial Home service.
What to Expect from Your Service
Your cleaning is completed according to the service level and labor time listed in your quote. Only reachable and safely accessible areas are included.
Our team does not move heavy furniture, appliances, or fragile belongings. Permanent stains, damage, mold, and restoration work are outside the service scope.
Some buildup may require multiple visits and may not be fully removable during one service.
Clear expectations help us respect your home, your time, and the work we agree to perform.
What Comes After Your Fresh Start?
Once your initial cleaning is complete, recurring maintenance helps keep your home at that baseline.
For new clients, the starting point is Fresh Start, Detailed Fresh Start, or Heavy Fresh Start. Our separate deep-cleaning service is available only to current members.
